Creators are flourishing with the proliferation of non-fungible tokens and web3 technologies, empowering them with new tools to better connect with fans and collectors. We were happy to be joined by Sutu who uses art and technology in new ways to tell stories. He has been commissioned by the likes of Marvel, Google and Disney to create VR art for properties such as Doctor Strange and Ready Player One. He has also created three VR documentaries.
Sutu holds a Honorary Doctorate of Digital Media from Central Queensland University; he’s a Sundance and Tribeca Fellow and is the co-founder of EyeJack, an Art and Technology company specialising in immersive art experiences and creator tools for Augmented Reality and Web3. His latest project, Neonz, explores the full potential of an AR Metaverse.
We had a wide-ranging conversation with Sutu about many topics including the empowerment of creators in the metaverse era, how intellectual property takes shape in the web3 era and at the end of the conversation, an exclusive about an upcoming project from Sutu.
